Poles Saving Jews
named of the Ulma family in Markowa

Marshal’s Office of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship / Markowa / March 2016

In the Podkarpacie village of Markowa, a modern Museum was established to commemorate Poles who risked their lives to save Jews during the war. Our task was to carry out the opening ceremony initiating the activity of the Museum. It was attended not only by representatives of the highest secular authorities, such as the President of the Republic of Poland and clergymen, but above all the witnesses of those times. The event was broadcast on Polish television and to 25 embassies around the world.
