The report “Event marketing 2023/2024. The impact of sustainability on the meetings industry.
The conclusions of 2023 are very positive for the industry. As it turns out, the events have jumped to 3rd position in the ranking of marketing tools, and the evaluation of their effectiveness increased by more than 20 points, with respect to 2022. Our clients and partners clearly define the achievement of goals set for event marketing. Most also plan to allocate budgets at least as high in 2024 as last year. But they also declare making greater demands on organizers, which fits in with CSR and ESG concepts.
ESG in event marketing. The changes we are waiting for and ready for.
The model of reporting the company’s activities also to the extent not related to economic factors is becoming a standard, required by the European Union. For now, only with respect to the largest entities, but eventually this scope is to be much broader. Environmental, Social, Corporate Governance (ESG) factors are to be not only declarative, but also measurable. How are our customers prepared for this?
This is one of the questions he was expected to answer Report. Event marketing 2023/2024. The impact of sustainable development on the meetings industry – of which our Agency was one of the partners (*).
It turns out that half of the respondents are in the process of developing an ESG strategy or already have one ready. The report also indicates that as many as two-thirds of those surveyed will expect us event agencies to, among other things, provide information about the carbon footprint and implement eco-friendly solutions at events. Importantly, other research says that this is exactly what our clients will in turn demand of their stakeholders.
To quote Krzysztof Paradowski, Creative Director of BluExperience – Each event has the potential to support the brand through a strategy in the social area. Measurable, such as reducing trash, preventing water waste, using renewable energy sources or giving an event carbon footprint. And the one that is more difficult to grasp, but just as important, such as efforts to promote education, inclusiveness, healthy living, ecology or integration.
The industry must therefore prepare to implement solutions to organize events in the spirit of sustainable development. We have already done so, meeting trends and market needs. The future of event marketing with us is already here.
So if you are looking for an agency that can prepare a comprehensive offline, hybrid or online event that takes into account ESG methodology, we are at your service.
